Palletizing of Boxed Produce
IPLA built their reputation as a leading manufacturer of produce palletizing systems in the highly competitive European market before we started representing them here in the U.S. more than seven years ago.
With reputable local installation, service and support by LMC, we are now very excited to be ramping up our distribution efforts to more effectively serve U.S. and Canadian produce suppliers with these durable and time-tested systems.
Palletizers for Boxes, RPC’s and Open-top Cardboard Trays
We offer two types of palletizers for fruit and vegetable packers and handlers. For tray boxes and RPC’s our layer formation plate palletizers are the palletizers of choice. The plate palletizer moves layers of boxes or crates from the layer formation table to the pallet on a steel plate. This type of is intended for boxes which cannot be transported safely to the pallet with a traditional pressurized gripper-style palletizer. The palletizer allows internal voids in the patterns and also palletizes boxes with lids or locked layers.
For produce packers that use open-top cardboard trays that are stacked in columns on the pallet, we offer gripper palletizers that grip the entire layer and gently lower it on the pallet (or layer below).
Key features of our boxed produce palletizers:
- Palletizers for different production requirements and budgets, from 15 boxes per minute up to 35 boxes per minute.
- SKU traceability with labels to outside of pallet
- Programming custom pallet layer formations including columns
- Intelligently engineered for minimal maintenance and long-term durability
- User friendly touch screen controls
Why Modular Produce Palletizers Lead The Way in Europe
An important difference between European-made and many U.S.-made palletizing solutions is that our IPLA palletizing systems are designed with scalability in mind. For this reason we believe that our customers are making the best choice for their produce palletizing needs, in terms of both a short and long term investment.
Here in the U.S. companies needlessly spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on box and tray accumulation systems so that they can send multiple SKU’s to one or two palletizers. These accumulation systems require enormous areas to set up and they keep high quality produce out of cold storage longer than recommended. Additionally, if the palletizer has a break-down, the entire system gets put on hold – which is a scary proposition for highly productive produce plants.
An IPLA system is much different. For about the same or lower cost as an elaborate, space-inefficient accumulation system, IPLA can design and install a grid of highly efficient palletizers that palletize all your high volume SKUs at the same time. These modular systems have very small individual foot prints and are built side by side to make efficient use of space. These systems can also be complimented with robotic palletizers to handle multiple SKU’s at a time for your lower volume SKU’s. The final result is highly versatile, flexible and efficient solution, that won’t completely shut you down if a palletizer has an issue. Now that’s a solution that really makes sense!
