Palletizing of Agricultural Products
Fifteen years ago HERDI B.V. set out to design and manufacture a bag palletizer for small to medium sized agricultural producers to give these producers an affordable option for stacking their heavy and awkward potato, onion, feed and seed bags.
Traditional palletizing technologies like robotic systems were, and still are, too expensive and layer formation style palletizers (like our IPLA plate palletizers) could not properly handle the bulky, uneven shape of the bags. In short, the HERDI P-Series palletizers became an immediate success in Europe and some of HERDI’s first customers are still using these very durable palletizers to this day.
Since those early days, HERDI has continued to refine and improve the technology and recently they proudly announced their newest machine: “The P-800 palletizer” which is the first low-cost, heavy bag palletizer of it’s kind capable of palletizing up to 800 bags per hour.
